2020 vs. 2019 Nissan Frontier Pro-4x

The Nissan Frontier has been a game-changer in many ways. The 2019 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x has dominated the truck market, and it is now time for the 2020 model to take over. If you are thinking of purchasing the new Frontier, you can head over to any Wilton CT car dealerships. But before that, let’s get to know some differences between these two models.

1. Engine

The 2019 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x and the previous models were all equipped with two engines. One was a 2.5-liter engine with four cylinders. and the other one was an optional 4-liter V6 engine. There was also a five-speed manual transmission. In the 2020 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x model, you can expect a 3.8-liter V6 engine, along with a nine-speed transmission. This is similar to Nissan’s other truck - the 2020 Titan. The new Frontier also offers 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque.

2. Fuel economy

With the 3.8-liter engine, the car’s fuel economy is better than its predecessor. The new Frontier can offer 18 mpg in the city, 24 mpg on the highway, and 20 mpg with a rear-wheel drive. The older 2.5-liter engine could deliver 17 mpg in the city, 22 mpg on the highway, and 19 combined on the city/ highway. The new model is expected to outdo the older version by at least 2 mpg on average.

3. Interiors

The interiors of the two cars remain the same. Both models offer backlit orange gauges. The interior aesthetics are simple and minimalistic. The cabin is available in two sizes as before, the king cab and the crew cab. The king cab is available in rear and four-wheel drives and can be bought in SV and S trim. The crew cab can be bought in rear and four-wheel drive, in SV, S, and Pro 4x off-road trim.
